Receive fresh, organic produce every week by being a part of Pun Pun’s Community Supported Agriculture project!

Pun Pun organic farm, seed saving center and sustainable living learning center is now offering the opportunity for people in Chiang Mai a way to receive fresh, organic produce and products weekly as members of our CSA.

What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) creates a direct relationship between consumers and farmers, enabling consumers to know where their food comes from and security in the quality and safety of their food, while supporting farmers to survive sustainably growing organic local food.  In a CSA program, consumers become members of the CSA by buying a share upfront in a farm, enabling the farmers the capital they need to help them produce and in turn, members are guaranteed a box of produce direct from the farm weekly.

What do you get?

Every Saturday we pack up a cornucopia of different seasonal organic vegetables, herbs, and fruit, from our farm in Mae Taeng province and send them to Chiang Mai for you to pick up.  By being a member of the CSA and buying a share, you receive one box of selected ripe seasonal produce per week.  Once a month we also include additional top-quality organic products including organic coffee and organic honey.  At times share boxes will also include mushrooms from the farm and in the future, organic chicken eggs.

Food is grown according to what flourishes according to season (reducing the need for chemical inputs) and provides consumers with seasonal healthy produce.

Details:

Boxes will be sent to Pun Pun Restaurant inside Wat Suan Dok every Saturday and members can pick them up anytime on Saturday after 10am.

The CSA will start with the first share delivered on Saturday, March 1st, 2008.  We will also host a kick-off meeting for members to meet the farmers and eachother on March 1st at 10am.

To become a member:

  1. Contact Oh at
  2. Fill out a membership form (Can be found at Pun Pun Restaurant)
  3. Shares go for 1,800 baht/month.  We ask members pay for at least 4 mos at a time in advance which comes to 7,200 baht.

We encourage members to sign up for an entire year and will reduce the price for members who buy a yearly share from 21,600 baht to 20,000 for a year’s membership.

Thanks for your interest in supporting sustainable agriculture and we hope we can see you at the farm sometime~!
